Estiven Rojo supports post-grant patent diligence and litigation-finance underwriting for technology-driven clients and investors, with a focus on electronics, software, fintech, blockchain/digital assets, and communications systems.

Estiven’s practice centers on working with existing patent assets—often issued patents or patents already at/near issuance—to evaluate claim scope, identify strengths and weaknesses, and inform enforcement, acquisition, underwriting, and portfolio-value strategy. He also advises on technology transactions and IP-adjacent diligence, including commercial and product counseling in blockchain and digital-asset ecosystems.

Estiven previously served as Chief Legal Officer for a Web3 gaming company, where he led in-house legal across digital assets, fintech, Web3, IP, and payments, including partner deals, regulator touchpoints, and U.S./international risk. He also built the compliance backbone for the platform, including consumer-protection controls, security/privacy governance, and scalable policies and procedures.

Before moving in-house, Estiven practiced at a Silicon Valley patent boutique and at respected firms in the Pacific Northwest, Southern California, and Miami. Before entering private practice, Estiven worked as an electrical engineer supporting NASA’s Space Program Operations Contract at Kennedy Space Center, where he worked on electronic systems associated with Space Shuttle launch vehicles. During law school, Estiven served as a Patent Examiner Extern at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
