Chris Spillman is a highly regarded and trusted advisor in corporate law and commercial transaction matters, as well as a seasoned business operator. Chris is Of Counsel to Invenio LLP and is key to the firm’s U.S. service offerings in corporate, structured finance, venture capital, private equity, and mergers and acquisitions.   

Chris began his career at Kirkland & Ellis and later became General Counsel for NYC fintech Quadpay. During his tenure at Quadpay, Chris led legal affairs through a major cross-border acquisition and was responsible for all operational, partnerships, financing, contracts, and compliance work.

Through Spillman & Partners, he helped buy and sell multiple U.S. tech companies, and finance clients growth through significant debt transactions as well as equity and hybrid securities offerings. Chris and his team also negotiated key SaaS and commercial contracts for national and global e-commerce retailers and consumer brands. 

Chris is a co-founder and Managing Director of the Americans for Biztech Lawyers, a global corporate legal and business advisory boutique. He and his colleagues help clients grow efficiently and boldly, often expanding reach into international markets while realizing transformative moments in the business cycle. 

Chris has five kids, a dog named Alfie and a cat named Bowser who could probably take down a small goat and have room for more.
