She is also deeply engaged in the evolving landscape of litigation finance, leveraging this important tool to fulfill the promise of the patent system for inventors.

Brenna has been listed in Best Lawyers in America® in the categories of intellectual property litigation, patent litigation, patent law, and commercial litigation since 2011.  Brenna is a frequent speaker on the intersection of IP, litigation funding, and insurance, and she is experienced in structuring enforcement strategies that align with the underwriting and risk considerations of capital providers. She is widely regarded for her ability to pair trial acumen with business-driven judgment—making her a trusted partner for patent owners, funders, and insurers alike.

Beyond intellectual property, Brenna has been instrumental in expanding access to mental health care in Oregon and beyond though her advocacy through the federal courts and state and federal government.  She has a particular passion for helping kids with mental health challenges by helping to ensure effective support in school and beyond.
